I think when you have a job, you feel like you're living in Australia. You connect with people, which helps you learn English quicker, make friends and communicate.
My son was 5 years old when we arrived in Australia. He took some time to adjust to the surroundings because everything was new. Now he's so confident. On the weekends he would even say I want to go to school!
Making friends with people from Australia was better for me after learning English. I was able to ask for help and get to know people better.
When I bought the house and when I got the keys, I was so excited. I had a happy feeling because I could settle in one place and relax.
When I went to Service NSW to have my test, I was so nervous. And then the staff said “Yes good job, you got your Ls”. I said “Oh my god, that’s so good. Now I can drive.”
Welcome to New South Wales, or NSW for short. NSW is a diverse and welcoming place. It's home to people from all around the world.
